WrpTool by WrpTool Development Team, PMC
The premium terrain/island editing software for OFP.
Snake Man started to figure out how to edit WRP files in 2002. For long time it was no luck, most people said it cant be done and so forth. Luckily great guy called a-lone-wolf came around and supplied the wrp file formats. From there with help of Rom (Romolus?) Snake Man coded the first lines of WrpTool source code. Screenshots got posted and noise was made. Then Dschulle came around and joined the team with his excellent C++ coding capabilities. But with sad events regarding MLOD converter and BAS, April 2004 Rom decided to quit from the team. WrpTool Development team continued with Dschulle and Snake Man.
Latest released version is v0.950
WrpTool is excellent utility to edit OFP WRP terrain files. It can read all known OFP WRP file formats so it does not matter if you have done your terrain with WrpEdit or Visitor 2 previously. There are many features (see below) which make it unique util to work with, many things can be done with ease. The user interface is like OFP mission editor so it comes naturally to anyone whos edited any missions before.
This util has been developed with the help of most known OFP community members to ensure its working as an actual terrain creator wants it to work. Many great features were added during this development process with these great guys.
The manual is something that hasn't seen in OFP community regarding other tools like this, it will cover pretty much everything and then some, of what you need to know about terrain editing. Online support by the Dev team is available even at present time mid 2024 unlike any other tools.
Many famous OFP terrains have been created with WrpTool including; Saruago, Trinity, Skye, DMA Libya, AGS-Afghanistan and BAS Tonal to name only a few.
WrpTool ships with 124 page PDF manual that covers everything related to terrain making, it even includes instructions for newbies to release addons properly. Also it includes ODOL Explorer, util that lets you view ODOL format P3D model files and save (convert) them to MLOD which then can be loaded with O2.
