LandGrid reference exceeded the range

ArmA 3 Terrain Builder common errors.

Error (note the values are unique to your terrain):

{error} LandGrid reference exceeded the range [1023, 1023], it is [2046, 2046]

This error comes up because your Texture Layer Size is too small.

Mapframe properties → samplers → texture layer. The texture layer value must be minimum of 4 x cell size!

For example if your cell size is 10 then use 40m texture layer size or if cell size is 25m, then instead of 50m use 100m texture layer size.

Remember that every time you change texture layer, you have to generate layers from processing tab.

You might have heard in the community some people say nonsense like “texture layer size must be as close to 40m as possible” this is complete make belief, its the same as saying that “every car color must be yellow” or “every woman must be blonde”, yes if you love yellow cars and if you obsessively love blonde girls its correct, however if that is not the case then those claims are completely useless to you. What this means in ArmA 3 terrain size wise is that 40m texture layer size advice is bullshit if your terrain size cell size is much larger or smaller than 10m. Do not listen to those idiots who run around talking nonsense, use your time wisely. So once more, texture layer value must be minimum of four times the cell size.
