PMC Terrain Builder Mini Tutorial

ArmA 3 Terrain Builder Mini Tutorial by PMC

  1. mapframes → add mapframe, click ok, click cancel
  2. file → import → terrains (xyz file)
  3. file → import → satellite images (you can choose bmp or png)
  4. file → import → satellite mask images (you can choose bmp or png)
  5. layers manager do on all layers, click RMB → Terrain Coordinates & Properties, easting: 200000, northing: 0
  6. save project
  7. mapframes window → DefaultMapFrame_1 → click RMB → properties
  8. change easting: 200000, northing: 0. change output root dir to your project directory. click create sub directories.
  9. copy your data ground texture rvmat's and paa's into <project>\data\ directory.
  10. copy your layers.cfg and maplegend.png files into <project>\source\ directory.
  11. samplers → choose correct size parameters, try to get texture layer size to 40 x 40.
  12. processing → import layers config file (Layers.cfg).
  13. processing → tick export satellite texture and surface mask. then click rebuild terrain.
  14. processing → generate layers. then click ok.
  15. save project.
  16. file → export → wrp

Adding P3D objects into a template

  1. create vis_new template library
  2. give it a name
  3. create vis_new library from directory
  4. source directory point to → P:\a3\plants_f\Tree
  5. click ok, all done
