BIS MLOD Example Models

Analysis

This is our “analysis” of the BIS released MLOD example models, they are the backbone of learning how to model stuff in ArmA so its good reference to have as much details pulled out of them into one page, than to go into o2 and load model etc everytime you want to reference some data.

The first thing that stands out is the LODs that are just numbered 1,2,3 etc in all models except in BMP2, why is BMP2 different we dont know. Then there is the new ShadowVolume's which we didn't have in OFP.

Soldier Model Descriptions

Here is the soldier model descriptions, how they look, what gear they have etc. As you can now have MLOD's for these unofficially, its good to make some catalog of what we can use from them.

RACS

res_riboli == rolled sleeves, beret, one kneepad, light gear.
res_soldier_ar == rolled sleeves, kneepads.
res_solder_at == rolled sleeves, one kneepad, light gear.
res_solder_b == rolled sleeves, no kneepads.
res_soldier_captive == no gear, no kneepads, no helmet. stripped guy huh.
res_soldier_crew == rolled sleeves, crew helmet.
res_soldier_g == rolled sleeves, one kneepad, heavy gear (pouches).
res_soldier_medic == rolled sleeves, no kneepads, backpack, heavy gear.
res_soldier_mg == rolled sleeves, kneepads, heavy gear.
