Mikero Tools
This page is meant for ArmA 3, but the tools come with features dating back to supporting OFP files so its “wrong” to say that these are somehow arma3 tools, but… ;)
Three versions exists, free, pay subscription and Linux. Well ok maybe that's two as free and Linux are the same.
Mikero Tools homepage at mikero-pboddl.
Free Tools
Free tools are those available in Mikero Tools homepage to download (except MikeroUpdate*.exe, its the pay subscriber tool updater).
Download and install, use as much as you want, cant be any simpler than that :)
Pay Subscriber Tools
How to Pay
At Mikero Tools homepage read how to subscribe from “aaaSubscriber.htm”, it has the small details which emails to use in paypal and so forth. After your payment you should receive email from Mikero which has your password to use with MikeroUpdate (read below).
Install
Download latest MikeroUpdate.<version>.Installer.exe (MikeroUpdate).
Run MikeroUpdate which installs the updater software. In the updater you have to write your email address used in paypal payment and password you received from Mikero. You should get list of installers automatically. if not, you are using the wrong email/passsword or don't have one. Email and password are BOTH caSeSensItIVE (for your protection).
Installers appear in the dialog below email/password info. Installer names in RED are not installed or out of date, names on BLUE are installed.
From the list double click name of the installer to install that individual tool.
All the tools are installed to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Mikero\DePboTools\” directory (no option to change that).
How to Use
There is so many various situations how to use them its too much to list here. But easiest way is to use windows (7) start → all programs → mikero → depbotools, then choose the installed tool you need like for example pboProject.
More hardcore editing guys are using the tools the old fashioned way, from a command line. That is like whole another tutorial :)
All tools come with extensive documentation in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Mikero\DePboTools\<nameOfTool>\docs\” directory and readme.
