ArmA 2 Large Terrain Limits
ArmA 2 Large Terrain Limits
Miro said that Take On Helicopters had 61,000 resolution satellite texture and it works fine. So regarding satellite there is not very small limits at least (though editing 61k image in photoshop will be horror).

Also somewhat related here; when using Wilbur to make terrain heightmap, with noise 5% it is too rough and ArmA 2 engine cant handle it, it causes crash (looks very rough elevated in Visitor 3 mapview).
