====== GIMP High Resolution BMP Wont Open ======

**2020-11-26**

Create new image 25,600 x 25,600 resolution, fill with single color 0,0,255 etc, CTRL-SHIFT-E export as BMP, default settings. Try to open that saved image... and it wont open.

**2021-10-11**

This also happened with regular global mapper exported satellite texture tile PNG images ([[:arma3|ArmA 3]] [[https://www.pmctactical.org/arma3/pmc-mongolia.php|PMC Mongolia]] terrain), GIMP wont open those, [[:editing_tools|irFanview]] does.
