====== GIMP XCF Image File Format ======

New XCF image file format was introduced in v2.10.0, if you save to this format the later versions like v2.8.22 cannot open them.

[[:tools:graphicsmagick|GraphicsMagick]] can convert XCF to BMP/PNG etc, however I could not figure out how to export individual layers. GIMP will save to PSD which preserves layers.
