====== ArmA 2 Mini Terrain Tutorial ====== [[https://www.pmctactical.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=50|ArmA 2 Forum]], [[:arma2|ArmA 2 Home]], [[arma2:config|ArmA 2 Config]], [[arma2:file_formats|ArmA 2 File Formats]], [[arma2:missions|ArmA 2 Missions]], [[arma2:modeling|ArmA 2 3D Modeling]], [[arma2:scripting|ArmA 2 Scripting]], [[arma2:terrain|ArmA 2 Terrain]], [[arma2:texturing|ArmA 2 Texturing]], [[arma2:tools|ArmA 2 Tools]] - create terrain with [[tools:l3dt|L3DT (root page)]] and [[arma2:terrain:l3dt|L3DT (ArmA 2)]] - create project in Visitor 3 - import xyz heightmap - tools -> project parameters: Texture layers. add new layer, make it twice the size of your cells. - tools -> project preferences: Textures. add path like tut\terrain3\data where your layers\ directory is created by v3. - save project - put clutter textures + rvmats into data\ directory, check paths in the rvmat files. - put layers.cfg file into source\ directory, edit it properly to state the paths in your project. - put maplegend.png file into source\ directory. - put your satellite texture/mask lco files into source\ directory. - tools -> import satellite + mask. choose source\layers.cfg file, then satellite texture and finally the mask image. - start buldozer, wait until it converts png to paa format (or use pal2pace method). - close buldozer alt-f4, save project. - use [[arma2:tools:convertwrp|ConvertWRP]] to convert pew into wrp file.
